The international solution will be realized in the close cooperation between Deutsche Post, PayNet, and SAP. Primarily companies that work with vendors and customers from different countries will find the new cooperative offer very useful, since the complete communication of invoices (national and international) can now be transacted via just one interface.
The focus of PayNet is on linking companies within Switzerland, while Deutsche Post is primarily integrating companies in Germany and other countries into the universal network.
Deutsche Post will be offering an electronic platform for Germany with Document Service Online (DSO) that will be available starting at the end of 2005. With DSO, the exchange of invoices between two or more companies can be realized completely electronically. The international rollout of the DSO solution for sending and receiving electronic invoices across borders is planned for next year.
Telekurs PayNet Ltd. is Switzerland’s market leader in electronic invoicing for corporate and private customers. The company has been active in the Swiss market since 2003. Among its customers are Alstom Schweiz, Bühler, Coop, Hilcona, Novartis, Syngenta, and T-Systems Schweiz. In addition, over 1.3 million eBanking customers at around 90 banks in Switzerland can receive and pay electronic invoices with PayNet.
For SAP, this cooperation means the first step in the construction of an international network on the basis of developed EBPP technology. Licensees of this technology can exchange electronic customer documents even across borders with the roaming method. Through the sale of further licenses of the underlying SAP software to international service providers, this network will grow further in the future.
